Institutional Collaboration: A Key Tool in the Fight Against Corruption

Last Thursday marked a significant moment in Ghana’s fight against corruption, as the Special Prosecutor (SP), Kissi Agyebeng, paid a visit to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno. This meeting was not just a simple courtesy call, but a strategic move to deepen institutional cooperation between the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and the Ghana Police Service.

This meeting was a long-awaited opportunity for the SP and the IGP to come together and discuss how they can work hand in hand to tackle corruption and related offenses through coordinated law enforcement efforts. Accompanied by Mr Emmanuel Basintale, Director of Investigations at the OSP, Mr Agyebeng was received by the IGP and senior members of the Police Service. This high-level meeting demonstrated a commitment to working together towards a common goal of rooting out corruption in Ghana.
