Ghana’s development is a shared responsibility – NCCE

As the saying goes, “Rome was not built in a day,” Ghana’s development is also a journey that requires the collective effort of all its citizens. MS Janet Yaa Obido, an Assistant Civic Education Officer with the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), recently emphasized the importance of each individual’s contribution to the nation’s development.
During a session with seamstress and hairdressing apprentices in Kadjebi, Ms. Obido highlighted the significance of small actions in building a nation grounded in peace and prosperity. She urged the apprentices to take care of the environment by avoiding littering, supporting reforestation, and conserving water and energy.
Madam Alberta Humado, the Proprietress of Ahafia Beauty Parlor in Kadjebi, commended Ms. Obido for her insightful education and pledged to spread the message to other mistresses. This exemplifies the ripple effect of educating and inspiring individuals to take action in their communities.
The Constitution Week Celebration, organized by the NCCE, is a pivotal event that commemorates Ghana’s return to constitutional democratic rule. This week serves as a reminder of the country’s journey towards democracy and the importance of active citizenship.
It is crucial for every Ghanaian to recognize their role in the nation’s development and actively participate in initiatives that promote growth and progress. As Ms. Obido rightly pointed out, every action, no matter how small, contributes to national development.
Let us all rise to the challenges with dedication and commitment, knowing that together, we can build a nation that offers hope, opportunity, and a better life for every Ghanaian. Ghana’s development is indeed a shared responsibility, and it is up to each and every one of us to play our part in shaping the future of our beloved
